Our timeline
2010
In 2010, Craig’s entrepreneurial spirit began tugging again, inspiring Craig to start his own business to offer superior customer service and innovative marine systems solutions.
2015
Maz Ocean continues to grow in staff and covering a larger part of South Florida making its name in the industry.
2022
Maz Ocean and Catamaran Guru made the interdependent relationship official. This strategic partnership enables Catamaran Guru to achieve its vision of being a full one-stop service to all our yacht owners.
2024
Our team has steadily grown to include 23 team members, each providing valuable skills and expertise in their respective roles, 4 marine shop locations, and a fully-equipped fleet of yacht service vehicles to take our expertise wherever your boat is.
Sailing & Marine Affiliations
Maz Ocean is part of the National Marine Electronics Association (NMEA). This association enhances technical marine electronics dealers through education, communication, training, and certification, while promoting industry standards and excellence.
NMEA advocates for good business practices and skilled personnel, and educates the boating public on the safe use of marine electronics.
Maz Ocean is a registered member of the American Boat & Yacht Council (ABYC). Maz technicians follow ABYC standards that are established to improve boating safety to reduce the number of injuries and fatalities.
Maz Ocean utilizes all the ABYC resources to enhance the team’s skills and knowledge. All Maz Ocean staff are encouraged to complete ABYC courses and earn certifications.
